1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Capital City Interlock website (capitalcityinterlock.com) and our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. Services Description

Capital City Interlock provides professional hardscaping and outdoor construction services, including but not limited to interlock installation, deck and pergola construction, driveway paving, patio installation, walkway and step construction, and retaining wall installation. All services are provided in the Ottawa, Ontario area and surrounding regions.

3. Quotes and Estimates

All quotes and estimates provided by Capital City Interlock are based on the information available at the time of assessment and are subject to the following:

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated in writing.
  • Final pricing may vary based on unforeseen site conditions, material availability, or changes requested by the client.
  • Any additional work outside the original scope will require a revised quote or change order.
  • Quotes are free and carry no obligation to proceed.

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms for our services are as follows:

  • A deposit may be required before work commences, as specified in your project agreement.
  • Progress payments may be required for larger projects at predetermined milestones.
  • Final payment is due upon substantial completion of the project.
  • Accepted payment methods will be communicated during the quoting process.
  • Late payments may incur additional charges as outlined in your project agreement.

5. Project Timelines

While we make every effort to complete projects within estimated timelines, start dates and completion dates are subject to change due to weather conditions, material availability, unforeseen site conditions, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We will communicate any timeline changes promptly and work to minimize disruptions.

6. Warranty

Capital City Interlock provides a 3-year warranty on our workmanship for all interlock and hardscaping projects, unless otherwise specified in your project agreement. This warranty covers defects in workmanship but does not cover damage caused by normal wear and tear, improper maintenance, natural disasters, acts of third parties, or failure to follow care instructions. Material warranties are provided by the respective manufacturers and are subject to their individual terms and conditions.

7. Client Responsibilities

To ensure the successful completion of your project, clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information about the project site and requirements.
  • Ensure reasonable access to the work site during agreed-upon working hours.
  • Secure any necessary permits or approvals as discussed during the planning phase.
  • Notify us of any underground utilities, easements, or other site-specific concerns.
  • Make timely payments as outlined in the project agreement.

8. Insurance and Liability

Capital City Interlock is fully licensed and insured. We carry general liability insurance and WSIB coverage for all our workers. While we take every precaution to protect your property during construction, we are not liable for pre-existing conditions or damages that result from factors beyond our control. Any claims must be reported within 7 days of discovery.

9. Cancellation and Refunds

Our cancellation and refund policy is as follows:

  • Projects may be cancelled by the client at any time prior to the commencement of work. Any deposit paid may be subject to deductions for costs already incurred (materials purchased, permits obtained, etc.).
  • If work has already commenced, cancellation charges will be based on the value of work completed and costs incurred up to the point of cancellation.
  • Refunds, if applicable, will be processed within 30 days.
  • Capital City Interlock reserves the right to cancel or reschedule projects due to unforeseen circumstances, with full refund of any unearned payments.

10. Website Use

When using our website, you agree to:

  • Use the website for lawful purposes only.
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the website.
  • Not use the website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality.
  • Not upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses, or harmful content.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, images, logos, designs, graphics, and photographs, is the property of Capital City Interlock and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from this website without our prior written consent.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Capital City Interlock shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page. Your continued use of our website or services after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
